Dr. Jean-Marie Toulouse is a full professor with the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales and was appointed Director of the School on January 1, 1995.

Dr. Toulouse received a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Montreal and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of California in Los Angeles. He served as Director of Research, Director of PhD Studies and Head Department of Management before being awarded the Maclean Hunter Chair of Entrepreneurship in 1988, the year it was created.

Dr. Toulouse has written several books, including L’entrepreneurship au Québec, Gestion 2001 and L’entrepreneurship technologique. He has more than 50 articles published in such leading journals as Administratives Science Quarterly, Relations Industrielles, Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, American Journal of Small Business and Gestion.

Dr. Toulouse sits on a variety of boards, and was appointed Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1997.
