Gabriela Siles is a Professor at the Department of Geomatics Sciences, Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics, at Université Laval. Her research program focuses on remote sensing and image processing, data acquisition methods (e.g., hydrospatial), advanced geospatial modelling and analysis of environmental systems. Dr. Siles is co-president of the Association Québécoise de télédétection.

She obtained a Postdoctoral Fellowship in remote sensing and geomatics from the Université de Sherbrooke, along with an internship on satellite altimetry at the Laboratoire d’Etudes en Géophysique et Océanographie Spatiales (LEGOS), France. She completed a PhD in Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, and an engineering degree in geodesy and geophysics from the National University of Tucumán, Argentina. She also completed an international internship exchange at Braunschweig University of Technology on GNSS technologies and network compensation techniques.
